Sabine Coelsch-Foisner is Professor of English Literature and Cultural Theory at the University of Salzburg, Department of English and American Studies. She is the author of award-winning Revolution in Poetic Consciousness: An Existential Reading of Mid-Twentieth-Century British Women's Poetry (2001) and has (co-)edited over fourty books, recent ones including: For Sale! Kommodifizierung in der Gegenwartskultur (2021), Visualisierung: Bildwissen – Wissensbilder (2020), Transmedialisierung (2019), The Essay: Forms and Transformations (2017), Theatralisierung (2016), Memorialisation (2015), ‘My Fair Lady’ (2015), New Directions of the European Fantastic (2012), The Museal Turn (2012). She has lectured widely in Europe, the USA and China. She is the leader of the transdisciplinary research group Cultural Dynamics at the Austrian Research Association (ÖFG), as well as founder of the public Atelier Gespräche/PLUS Kultur event series. Her research areas include cultural and critical theory, theatre, cultural production studies, aesthetics, fantastic literature, the short story, Shakespeare, Romantic, Victorian, and Twentieth-Century Literature, narratology, literature and the other arts.
